Police Seek Tractor Driver Involved In Crash

Provincial police are trying to track down the driver of a tractor after a serious crash in Blandford-Blenheim Township.

Oxford OPP were called to a collision on Oxford Rd. 8, west of the village of Washington around 5:30pm Thursday. When officers arrived they found a single vehicle with a woman trapped inside.

The woman was cut from the wreckage and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police say they have determined that the vehicle was heading west on Oxford Rd. 8 when it collided with a trailer loaded with hay which was being hauled by a red or orange older model tractor. The farm vehicle did not remain at the scene.

Police are looking to speak to the driver of the tractor.
