Crash Causes Power Outage

Roughly 840 London Hydro customers in the downtown and SoHo neighbourhood lost their power Monday.

Hydro was knocked out just after 11am Monday after a vehicle crashed into a utility pole at Hamilton Rd. and William St.

"Crews are on scene assessing the damage," says Nancy Hutton, London Hydro spokesperson. "So what they will do is assess the damage and determine whether we can do some switching to get some of those customers back on or if they have to replace some equipment."

London Hydro says power should be fully restored by 1:30pm.
