London Mosque Seeking Donations For Refugees

Londoners are being asked for help as Syrian refugees continue to arrive in the city.

The London Mosque is seeking donations of several items that will help the refugees get started on their new lives in Canada. It's expected more than 800 Syrian refugees in total will come to London.

Officials at the Mosque say there is an urgent need for:

  • Baby strollers
  • Baby Highchairs
  • Diapers (sizes 2-6)
  • Baby formula
  • Personal care items and toiletries
  • Ladies and mens personal hygiene items which include but not limited to razors, shampoo, soap, moisturizers
  • New underwear and undergarments, including socks
  • New pyjamas
  • Boots of all sizes
  • Men's Winter coats and accessories (hats, gloves, etc.)
The Southside Group has provided the Mosque with space at 797 York St., Unit 2 to collect and sort donations.

They can be dropped off on Saturday and Sunday between 12pm and 3pm.
