Missing London Man Found Dead

London police say a body found Wednesday in the St. Clair River in Michigan is that of Richard (Paul) Wainwright.

The London man had been missing since Tuesday, when he was last seen at his home in the area of Wonderland Rd. and Riverside Dr. On Tuesday night, his car was found in Sombra, upriver from where his body was found.

The St. Clair County Sheriff's office says a resident of Clay Township discovered a body in a cut off the north channel of the St. Clair River around 10:30am Wednesday. The body was recovered by the Clay Township Fire Department and sent to McLaren Port Huron Hospital for a post mortem.

An autopsy determined that the body is that of Wainwright. London police say foul play is not suspected.
