Bomb Threat at Woodstock Walmart

Woodstock Police responded to a bomb threat at Walmart, located at 499 Norwich Avenue, Sunday evening at approximately 6:14 pm.

Woodstock Police Service received information from a store employee that an unknown male stated to them that there was a bomb inside the store.

The building was evacuated for a few hours while officers conducted a sweep of the area.

Woodstock Police searched the store and found nothing suspicious and did not locate any evidence of an explosive.

Walmart is now open for normal operation.

Police say no direct threat was received by anyone. The investigation is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
