Man Injured In Hwy. 2 Crash Dies

A man who suffered critical injuries in a head-on crash on Hwy. 2 east of Thamesford on Sunday has died.

Oxford OPP say Alfred Allen Mabbayad, 27, of London died in hospital. He was driving an eastbound car that crossed the centre line and collided head-on with a westbound pickup truck.

The man and woman in the pickup were also taken to hospital with injuries that police described as "non-life threatening."

Police are still investigating the collision and are asking any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to call the Oxford OPP.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
