Police Seize Guns, Ammunition, Knives

Charges have been laid against five people after London police seized guns, ammunition, and knives in a raid on a home in east London.

On Tuesday, officers searched a home on Grammercy Park Place and seized a .22 calibre semi-automatic rifle, a .308 semi-automatic rifle, and dozens of rounds of ammunition. They also seized five knives.

A youth who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, 18-year-old Jaden Scheltgen, 22-year-old Cameron Williams, 35-year-old Shannon-Lee Varty, and 37-year-old James Baker face several firearms related offences.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
