Lightning Strike Down River Lions

The London Lightning scored a 123-114 victory over the Niagara River Lions on Wednesday.

Despite a slow start that saw the Lightning trailing 29-24 at the end of the first quarter, London was able to take a 62-56 advantage going into halftime. The Lightning had a back and forth third quarter, but ultimately took a 111-110 lead with 3:21 to go in the final frame. Niagara wasn't able to catch up in the final minutes, sealing the win for London.

Stephen Maxwell had 32 points for London, while Ryan Anderson had 29 points and four rebounds.

The Lightning return home next week to take on the Windsor Express on February 18 at 7pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
