Crash Victim Identified

Provincial police have released the name of a woman killed in a single vehicle crash near Turkey Point.

Just before 11am on Saturday, emergency crews were called to Front Rd. in Charlotteville.  Police say a woman driving a westbound vehicle failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The vehicle went off the road and into a ravine, where it collided with a tree.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. She has now been identified at 79-year-old Francis Pye of Norfolk County.

Police are still investigating.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
