Police Confirm Murder-Suicide Was "Domestic"

London police have confirmed the man and woman who died in a murder-suicide in Old South were in a domestic relationship.

But police aren't saying much more than that.

Police say the man took his own life at an auto repair shop on High St. after murdering the woman whose body was found in an apartment at 71 Grand Ave.

The woman's body was found by officers just after 5:30pm Friday after they were called to the apartment to check on the welfare of the occupants. Their investigation led them to the auto repair shop, where they found the man's body.

Autopsies confirmed that the woman had been murdered and the man's death was the result of suicide.

Police say, because of the domestic relationship involving the man and woman and the request for privacy by surviving family members, the names of the man and woman will not be released.
