Tires Fly On Hwy. 401 Again

A 55-year-old man is facing charges after another incident of tires coming off a transport truck in Oxford County.

Oxford OPP received several reports just before 10am Thursday of a truck losing tires as it exited the westbound lanes of Hwy. 401 at Plank Line and again as it headed south on Plank Line.

Luckily, no one was injured in the incident.

Michael Bozzo of Innisfil is charged with driving a commercial motor vehicle with wheels detached and driving a commercial motor vehicle with major defect.

This is the second time this week tractor-trailer tires have broken free on Hwy. 401 in Oxford County. An eastbound vehicle was damaged on Tuesday when a tractor-trailer lost a tire on the highway just west of Drumbo. No injuries were reported in that incident.
