Lightning Strike Down Express

The London Lightning scored their third win in a row after beating the Windsor Express 104-98 on Thursday.

The Lightning led the Express 26-20 at the end of the first quarter and extended their lead to 56-35 going into halftime. London continued to lead in the third frame, but Windsor was able to take a 91-89 advantage with five minutes left in fourth quarter. However, London took back the lead with seconds left in the game to top the Express.

Akeem Wright led London with 19 points and eight rebounds, while Ryan Anderson and Warren Ward both had 17 points.

Brandon Robinson scored a game high 24 points for Windsor. As well, Chris Commons had 19 points and two rebounds.

The Express will take on the Niagara River Lions on Friday at 7pm. And then on Saturday the Lightning face the Express once again at 7:30pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
