A's Strike Down Lightning

The London Lightning fell in a close 106-103 game to the Orangeville A's on Saturday.

The A's scored a 29-21 lead in the first quarter and extended it to 58-47 at halftime. Orangeville kept ahead of the Lightning by nine points in the third, but London was able to come back and take a 96-93 lead in the fourth. The A's tied the game up at 100 points each with 46 seconds left in the game, and ultimately edged ahead for the win.

Akeem Wright led London with 17 points and ten rebounds. Nick Evans had 16 points and also had ten rebounds.

The Lightning return to take on the Niagara River Lions on Friday at 7pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
