Knights Dominate Rangers 8-2

The London Knights have caught the Erie Otters. After Tuesday night's 8-2 win over the Kitchener Rangers, the Knights are now tied with Erie for first place in the Western Conference and first overall in the Ontario Hockey League.

Although the Rangers were first on the scoreboard,  Aaron Berisha scored four of London's eight goals and was awarded the first star of the game. Also scoring for London were Cliff Pu, Mitch Marner, Chad Heffernan, and Brandon Crawley.

Matthew Tkachuk joined the 100 point club with an assist on Berisha's third goal of the night, London's fifth.

The only time it seemed London's momentum might have been slowing down came in the second period, just after Marner scored. A slew foot match penalty was called against Kole Sherwood shortly after Marner's goal. The league will review the call to determine whether a suspension is warranted.

The Knights next game is Friday night in Sault Ste. Marie when they take on the Greyhounds.
