OPP Seek Suspect In Attempted Robbery

Police are looking for a suspect after a masked man attempted to rob a gas station in Tavistock.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Friday around 8:30pm, the man entered a Shell gas station on Woodstock St. N and demanded cash from an employee. However, the robbery was interrupted when another customer drove into the gas station parking lot and the would-be robber fled the scene.

Police arrived at the gas station a short time later, but were unable to locate the man.

Nothing was taken and no one was injured during the attempted robbery.

The male suspect is described as being 25-35 years old, 5'10" tall, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hood-style skull mask,  a grey sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black cloth gloves and dark shoes.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
