Police Release Robbery Pictures

Provincial police have released photos of a suspect wanted in an attempted robbery at a gas station in Tavistock.

Oxford OPP say a masked man walked into the Shell gas station on Woodstock St. just after 8:30pm Friday and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect took off empty handed after the robbery was interrupted when a vehicle pulled into the parking lot.

No one was hurt and no weapons were seen.

Police searched the area following the incident but were unable to find the suspect.

They released surveillance photos Monday in hopes they will help identify the man.

Police say he is described as approximately 25-35 years-old, 5'10'' with a medium build. He was wearing black hood style skull mask, a grey sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black cloth gloves, and dark shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 519-688-6540, 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
