Tractor Trailer Crashes Into Rail Bridge

A North York man is facing charges after a transport truck collided with a rail bridge in Zorra Township.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Wednesday around 11:30am, a tractor trailer collided with the overpass/bridge on 17th Line. The driver left the scene after assessing the damage and was stopped by MTO officers a short distance away on Hamilton Rd.  When attempting to pull the tractor trailer into a parking lot, the attached trailer collapsed from the earlier damage.

No one was injured in the crash and the rail bridge only sustained minor damage.

Yevgen Olshevskyy, 48, of North York is now was charged with disobeying a traffic sign contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
