Lightning Strike Down Express

The London Lightning scored a close 113-110 victory over the Windsor Express on Saturday.

The Express led the Lightning 30-27 in the first quarter and extended their advantage to 62-57 at halftime. However, London gained momentum in the third to take a ten point lead. Windsor fought their way back, making it 111-110 for London with 30 seconds left in the game, but the Lightning scored another two points for the win.

Stephen Maxwell led London with 24 points and ten rebounds. Warren Ward also had 24 points and seven rebounds.

Chris Commons scored a game high 25 points for Windsor, while Kirk Williams Jr. had 23 points and 11 rebounds.

The Express are back on Sunday to take on the Orangeville A's at 3pm. And then on Wednesday the Lightning face the A's at 7pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
