Suspect In Weapons Investigation Arrested

A suspect in a weapons investigation that touched off a large police response in north London late last month has been arrested.

Dean Dickieson, 23, of London had been sought by police after running away from a vehicle stop near Richmond St. and Sunnyside Dr. on March 29. At the time, police reported that he may have been armed. Residents of the area were told to stay in their homes as police searched for Dickieson. They didn't find him that day, but did recover a loaded .357 handgun.

Just before 11am Thursday, several police officers swarmed an area of Old South, and Dickieson was arrested in the area of Byron Ave. and Euclid Ave.

He is to appear in court Thursday afternoon.
