The Woodstock Police Service says on Thursday, a man who was walking on a sidewalk was struck by a pickup truck that was leaving the parking lot of C&D Lanes bowling alley on Mill St.
The 44-year-old male pedestrian was taken to Woodstock General Hospital with serious injuries.
The 69-year-old male driver of the pickup truck was not hurt.
Police are still investigating and no charges have been laid at this time.
The regional championship will be held from July 17 to July 19 and is open to spectators.
