Parkhill Fires Deemed Suspicious

A massive blaze that destroyed a Parkhill business has been deemed suspicious.

Quick Wick, which manufactures a fire-starting product made of wax and wood chips, was reduced to rubble after a fire at its 144 King St. facility around 8pm Sunday. Middlesex OPP later discovered a secondary blaze in a dumpster on Parkhill King St., just west of Quick Wick.

An aerial truck had to be brought in to help battle the blaze.

No one was hurt in the fire.

The Ontario Fire Marshall's office announced Friday it has determined both fires were suspicious.

OPP are asking anyone who may have seen activity in the area prior to or immediately following the start of the fire to call them at 1-888-310-1122 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
