Lightning Top A's To Advance

The London Lightning beat the Orangeville A's 132-125 to sweep their first round NBL playoff series 3-0 on Friday.

The Lightning held a narrow three point lead at the end of the first quarter, but the A's took a 63-54 advantage going into halftime. The A's were still up 95-89 in the third, but London rallied in the final frame to take back and hold the lead for the win.

Akeem Scott scored a game high 39 points for London, while Garrett Williamson put of 22 points and had six rebounds.

The Lightning will now face the Windsor Express in the second round of the playoffs.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
