Lightning Win To Tie Playoff Series

The London Lightning scored a 105-100 victory over the Windsor Express to tie their NBL Canada playoff series 1-1.

On Sunday, the Lightning took a two point lead in the first quarter, but the Express tied things up at 44-44 by halftime. Windsor scored a 80-74 advantage in the third, however London battled back in the final frame to retake the lead with eight minutes left in the game.

Akeem Scott put up 27 points and five rebounds to lead London, while Akeem Wright and Garrett Williamson both had 18 points.

Brandon Robinson scored a game high 34 points and four rebounds for Windsor. Shaquille Keith had 17 points and six rebounds.

The Express and the Lightning will battle again on Tuesday at 7:30pm in Game 3 at the WFCU Centre.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
