Police Seek Stabbing Suspect

London police are looking for a 21-year-old man who is wanted in connection with a stabbing in the southwest end on Tuesday.

Alejandro Esteban Tapia is wanted on charges of aggravated assault and possession of a dangerous weapon.

Police were called to 335 Southdale Rd. W at 2:15pm after a man was stabbed. Officers found the victim in a washroom off the main lobby of the building. He was suffering from several stab wounds. The man, who police say is in his 20s, was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious but not life threatening.

Police say the victim and Tapia know each other, and this appears to be an escalation of a dispute between the two men.

Tapia is described as a white male, 5'6", and 120 lbs. He has short brown hair and a goatee. He has tattoos both on his forearms and hands. He is known to drive a 1999 four door, dark green Toyota with Ontario license plate BYXY 777.

Police say he should not be approached. Anyone who has any information about the incident is asked to call London police at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
