Oxford County OPP say Zachary Arsenault went missing after making contact with friends at 3am Saturday morning. He was seen walking south on Lisgar Ave. at 3:05am.
Police were concerned for Arsenault's welfare, but he has since been located safe.
SPS Board Chair Kelly Ash said the decision followed discussions with Acting Chief Mike Federico and aligns with practices at other police services.
