Lightning Strike Down Express 108-98

The Lightning now lead the NBLC Central Division finals 3-2, after beating the Windsor Express 108-98 on Saturday.

The Lightning took a 28-14 advantage in the first quarter, but Windsor closed the gap by making it 45-42 for London at halftime. The Express made a comeback late in the third to gain a 71-68 lead, but London was able to pull ahead again in the final frame with six minutes left to play.

Akeem Scott and Warren Ward both put up 22 points for London, while Stephen Maxwell recorded 21 points and 18 rebounds.

Alex Johnson was named player of the game for Windsor with 29 points and four four rebounds.

The Express will face the Lightning in Windsor for Game 6 on Friday at 7pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
