(BlackburnNews.com file photo)The London Fire Department is reminding people to never leave cooking unattended following a fire at a Trafalgar St. apartment.
Crews were called to 1455 Trafalgar St. just after 6:15pm Monday to find occupants escaping out a second floor window.
No one was injured in the fire, which was contained to one unit. There was smoke damage to the second and third floors.
The cause of the fire was unattended cooking and damage is pegged at $40,000.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
