UPDATE: Hwy. 402 Reopened After Fiery Crash (GALLERY)

A crash involving a tractor trailer and two service vehicles, that saw the truck burst into flames, forced the closure of Hwy. 402 west of London on Thursday afternoon.

The collision happened in the eastbound lanes shortly after 2pm near Hickory Rd. OPP closed the eastbound lanes at Centre Rd. and the westbound lanes at Glendon Dr.

Police say three people were injured, one of them seriously. The other two suffered non-life threatening injuries.

In a Periscope feed, OPP Sergeant Dave Rektor says the westbound lanes re-opened around 3pm.

The eastbound lanes were reopened to traffic around 9pm, but were reduced to one lane at Hickory Dr.
