Tillsonburg Woman Facing Child Pornography Charges

An investigation by the OPP has led to child pornography charges being laid against a woman from Tillsonburg.

Norfolk OPP say the probe began on May 5 after police got a complaint about a woman who had child pornography on a cell phone. The OPP's Child Sexual Exploitation Unit was called in to help with the investigation. Officers later seized two cell phones, two laptop computers, and an external data storage device.

On May 11, police arrested a 52-year-old woman. She is charged with one count of making child pornography, one count of distributing child pornography, and one count of possession of child pornography. She was released from custody with conditions and will appear in court in Simcoe on May 31.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
