Police Seek Suspect In Violent Home Invasion

Police are searching for a suspect after a violent armed home invasion in Strathroy.

Strathroy Caradoc police say a man forced his way into the home of an elderly couple on Thomas St. around 10pm Thursday.

The man pulled a weapon, pushed an elderly woman to the ground, and demanded money. He then took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The elderly couple did not suffer injuries during the robbery.

The K9 unit was brought in from London to help find the man but could not track him down. Police are looking for a man described as white, approximately 20-years-old, 5’10” – 5’ 11” tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded sweatshirt and may have been wearing a hat.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
