The man then took off on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. The clerk was not hurt.

Police, with help from the London police K9 unit, searched the area. They found a knife believed to be involved in the robbery a short distance away.

A 24-year-old Strathroy man was arrested at his residence a few hours later.
