Arrest Made In Sexual Assault On LTC Bus

London police have made an arrest in connection with the sexual assault of a teen girl on an LTC bus.

Police launched the investigation on May 5 after the victim reported being assaulted by a man who boarded the bus in the area of Springbank Dr. and Berkshire Dr. After he got on the bus, he sat right behind the young woman and allegedly began touching her. The victim then got off the bus.

On Friday, May 27 police arrested 54-year-old Jose Luis Hernandez of London. He is charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference with a person under the age of 16 years of age.

 

Police are still investigating and are asking anyone with any information to call them at at 519-661-5670, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
