London Majors fall to Barrie Baycats 13-5

The London Majors lost 13-5 at home Tuesday after the Barrie Baycats exploded for nine runs in the eighth and ninth innings. The two teams are now tied in third place.

Chris McQueen led London with three hits while Taylor Carr added two hits.

Zack Sardelitti led Barrie with three hits and three RBI’s while Kyle Degrace added three hits and two RBI’s. Joey Guaragna had two hits and three RBI’s including a two-run triple in the ninth inning.

Starter Cory Hammond went five innings for London, allowing two runs on two hits with three walks and three strikeouts while Braeden Ferrington took the loss for London, giving up two runs on one hit and a hit batter.

The Majors next two games are on the road.  They'll face the Panthers in Kitchener on Thursday and head to Hamilton to take on the Cardinals Friday night.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
