Police Seek Man In Park Assault

London police are looking for the public's help identifying a man after a girl was assaulted in a southwest end park.

Police say the pre-teen girl was at the splash pad at Jesse Davidson Park on Viscount Rd. around 5:30pm Monday when she collided with a child while riding a bike. According to police, a man then physically assaulted the girl before leaving the park with the child.

The girl suffered minor injuries in the attack.

On Friday, police released a photo of the man they believe committed the assault. They say he is not known to the girl.

The man is described as white, in his 30's, approximately 5'10'' with short brown hair. It's possible he has an accent. He was wearing a navy blue shirt and navy blue shorts.

Anyone who can help identify the man or has information about the incident is asked to call police at at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. Information can also be submitted online at www.londoncrimestoppers.com.
