BluesFest Announces Headliners

Juno award winners Steve Strongman and Jack Dekeyser are among the headliners announced for London BluesFest 2016.

Organizers of the free three-day summer festival announced a whole host of headliners and local acts on Monday.

Others scheduled to take the stage in Victoria Park in late August include Downchild Blues Band, Devon Allman (son of Greg Allman), Scott Holt, Big Rude Jake, Bill Durst, Robin Banks, and Wild-T & The Spirit.

“Bluesfest is excited to announce the acts we have confirmed up to date and look forward to finishing our lineup in the next couple of weeks,” says Ron Schroeyens, Bluesfest Producer. “I think we have great cross section of music for everyone."

Londoners signed up to play BluesFest include Denise Pelley, Sara Smith, Soul Sausage, The Chris Murphy Band, Rob Sharp & Lit'l Chicago, Paul Langille, Doug Varty, and Chris Trowel Band.

BluesFest will run August 26 from 6pm-11pm and August 27 and 28 from 1pm-11pm daily. There will be four stages and two licensed areas set up in the downtown park for the festival.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
