London Majors Blank Guelph Royals 11-0

The London Majors didn't bow down to the Guelph Royals Tuesday night at Labatt Park, blanking them 11-0.

Elis Jimenez struck out 11 and scattered five hits over 7.1 innings, improving to 3-0.

London's bats were busy--Byron Reichstein homered, tripled and drove in four runs, while Cleveland Brownlee had two hits and scored once.

Keith Kandel singled and scored twice, LeJon Baker went 4-for-5 with two runs, Carlos Arteaga had twice hits and two runs, and Taylor Carr, Kyle Gormandy and Tristan Buntrock all drove in a run.

AJ Mackey took the loss for the Royals, allowing six runs  on seven hits over five innings.

London is now within a half game of Kitchener atop the IBL standings.

London's next game is Friday in Hamilton vs the Cardinals.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
