Unattended Cooking Causes House Fire

Damage is pegged at around $200,000 after a fire broke out in a townhouse apartment in London.

London police Constable Ken Steeves says around 10pm Saturday night, firefighters responded to the home at 1199 Hamilton Rd. He says the fire originated in the kitchen and caused extensive damage.

A resident in the home was able to make it out safely and no one was injured.

Steeves says the blaze was caused by unattended cooking.
