London Majors Stretch Win Streak To Six Games

The London Majors beat the Brantford Red Sox 8-2 Sunday afternoon at Labatt Park to increase their win streak to six.

Cleveland Brownlee went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs, while Kyle Gormandy had three hits, three RBIs and scored once.

Pitcher Oscar Perez went seven innings and struck out five for the win.

For Brantford, Nic Burdett singled, doubled and drove in both Red Sox runs.

Nate Forer took the loss, lasting just over 4 innings.

The Majors are now in first place over the Kitchener Panthers by half a game.  London's next game is at Tuesday night at Labatt Park against the Hamilton Cardinals.  First pitch is 7:35 pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
