Police Investigating Downtown Arson

An early morning fire in downtown London is being treated as “suspicious”.

London police and fire crews were called to a blaze 245 Pall Mall St at 4:00am on Monday. When they arrived, they found smoke pouring out of the back of the building. Fire fighters doused the flames, which appear to have been deliberately set.

Police say their initial investigation suggests an incendiary device was used to start the fire. They are looking for two suspects, described as white males wearing dark clothing and carrying baseball bats. The suspects fled the scene in a dark, older SUV.

Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact London Police or Crime stoppers.
