Police Identify Victim Of South London Crash

Police have released the name of an 18-year-old who was killed in a two-vehicle crash in south London.

The London Police Service says on Friday around 1:35pm, emergency crews were called to Wilton Grove Rd. near Old Victoria Rd. after a pickup truck collided with a car.

The driver of the car, 18-year-old Khalil Watfa of London, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger in the car, a 25-year-old London man, and the driver of the pickup truck, a 59-year-old woman from Ingersoll, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both have since been discharged.

Investigators have determined that speed was a factor in the crash.

The collision remains under investigation, but police say no charges will be laid.
