London Man Charged With Murder In Deadly Collision

A London man has been charged with second degree murder after another man was struck and killed by a vehicle in Midland, Ontario.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Saturday around 1:50pm, 29-year-old Corby Scott of Wyevale, Ontario was struck by the vehicle in a Walmart parking lot at 16845 Hwy. 12.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.

The driver, 25-year-old Jason Heffernan of London, has been charged with second degree murder and will appear in a Barrie court room on Wednesday.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
