Stolen Vehicle Crashed Into Car Dealership

Woodstock police are investigating after a stolen vehicle crashed through a window and into the showroom of a local car dealership.

A customer called police around 6:30am on Thursday after discovering the damage at Anderson Pontiac Buick on Dundas St.

Through their investigation, police determined a vehicle reversed through the showroom window, damaging a car inside. Three sets of tires were then stolen before the suspects took off.

The vehicle, a burgundy Chevy Silverado pickup truck, was later found abandoned on Patullo Ave. and Middleton Line with the engine still running. Police say the vehicle had been stolen from Dorchester overnight. The stolen tires were not recovered.

Damage to the car dealership is estimated between $12,000 and $17,000. The tires are valued at $5,200.
