UPDATE: Woman Dies In Highbury Ave. Rollover Crash

One woman is dead and another is in hospital following a single-vehicle rollover crash on Highbury Ave. in London.

The London Police Service says a Chrysler Sebring rolled over in the northbound lanes of Highbury Ave. between Commissioners Rd. E and Hamilton Rd., on Saturday around 11pm.

Police say the adult female driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, but are not releasing any further details about the victim at this time. Another woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, remains in hospital where she is being treated for unknown injuries. Neither of the women are from London.

Highbury Ave. between Commissioners Rd. E and Hamilton Rd. was closed until Sunday morning as officers conducted an investigation.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call police at 519-661-5670.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
