Woodstock Police Make Arrest In Violent Assualt

Police have arrested one man in connection to a violent assault in Woodstock.

The Woodstock Police Service says on June 30 around 4am, a 45-year-old man was driving his truck along Keyes Dr., when he came upon two young men who were riding bicycles and taking up most of the roadway. The driver honked his horn and passed the two suspects who had approached his vehicle. The victim pulled into the parking lot of a business and was assaulted when he exited the vehicle.

The victim was treated in hospital for his injuries and then later released.

Police now say they have arrested and charged 20-year-old Ethan Wood of Woodstock. He will appear in court on August 30.

Police are still searching for the second man involved in this assault, who is believed to be in his early 20s.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
