High Risk Sex Offender Moves To Woodstock

A high risk sex offender has moved to Woodstock.

Woodstock police are advising the public that 40-year-old Jason William Cornish moved into the city on Thursday.

Cornish was released from a federal institution on July 14 and lived in London following the completion of his sentence. Last week, London police issued a similar advisory to the public about him.

Police say Cornish has been assessed as a high risk for sexual violence towards women. In the past he has approached female strangers and engaged them in conversation, which has been followed by sexual assaults, assaults and criminal harassment.

He is described as white, 5’9”, 200 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes.
