West London Getting Social Services Location

A new social services location is slated to open in west London this September.

The city is opening the new location in the Westmount Shopping Centre. It will provide residents in the west end with a variety of services from Ontario Works, the employment resource centre, and discretionary benefits.

Those who will receive services at the west London location are being contacted directly.

The city says the new location is part of a plan to make services easier and more convenient to access. By the end of the year, there will be five locations in London. Other locations are located at Market Tower on Dundas St., Glen Cairn Resource Centre on Adelaide St., Social Services-Northland Mall on Highbury Ave. N, and Social Services-South London Community Centre on Jalna Blvd.

Construction on the west London location is underway. A firm opening date is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
