United Way Names New CEO

The United Way London and Middlesex has filled the void left by Andrew Lockie's springtime departure.

Current Director of Community Engagement Kelly Ziegner was named the new CEO of the United Way on Tuesday. She replaces Lockie who left the position to become the head of the YMCA of Western Ontario.

“Our board believes Kelly’s history with the United Way Movement and unique mix of skills and leadership qualities position her for success in leading our organization forward,” says Lynn Logan, Chair of the Board of Directors.

Ziegner has spent 20-years in the non-profit sector, including seven years at the Thames Valley Children’s Centre. She is a life long Londoners and a graduate of King’s University College and Western University.

Her first day in the new role will be August 15.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
