Majors Move Into First After Beating Panthers

The London Majors have moved into first place after beating the Kitchener Panthers 2-1 on Friday.

Pitcher Elis Jimenez allowed one earned run and struck out five. Cleveland Brownlee and Byron Reichstein each drove in a run for London, while Humberto Ruiz singled and tripled.

The win wraps up the regular season for London, as they move a half game ahead of Kitchener and improve to 27-9. The Panthers have one game remaining on Sunday against Brantford.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
