Police, United Way Collecting Back-To-School Items

London police and the United Way are hoping Londoners will be generous as they collect donations of school supplies.

The London Police Service, the London Police Association, and United Way London & Middlesex are working together to make sure students in the London area have all they need for the first day of school in September.

They are looking for donations of:

Lunch bags Exercise booklets Rulers Round tip scissors Pencil sharpeners Glue sticks Pencil crayons Erasers Duotangs Binders Pens Pencil cases Markers Dividers Three-hole lined paper Wax crayons Reusable snack/drink containers Calculators/Scientific calculators Pencils Highlighters

Donations can be dropped off until August 19 at London Police Headquarters at 601 Dundas St. or the office of the London Police Assocation at 330 William St.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
