UPDATE: Second St. Thomas Murder Suspect Arrested

Police have arrested a second suspect in connection with the death of a 20-year-old St. Thomas man, after a Canada-wide warrant was issued for his arrest.

St. Thomas police say 28-year-old Sonny Daniel Cloutier of St. Thomas was arrested sometime on Friday, but no further details have been provided at this time.

Cloutier is facing a charge of first degree murder in the death of William "Billy" Lamers.

Lamers died in hospital after being found at an apartment at 337 Talbot St. around 12:45am Thursday. An autopsy confirmed that Lamers died as a result of sharp force trauma.

Police arrested and charged 23-year-old Corey Jolliffe of St. Thomas with first degree murder Thursday. Joliffe has been remanded into custody and will appear by video in St. Thomas court on August 15.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
